Introduction

Gigi is a fun-loving black & white 19" girl who has made herself at home in our family. She loves to play, especially with her brother "Oliver", Bondir's Hardiess Connexion, and her cousin "Gertie", Ch Bondir's Irrepressible Gertie. Gigi was whelped on January 9, 2001 and is named for the musical "Gigi" -- both of Cally's puppies were named after musicals to fit "Cally's" (Ch Cascadian Caliner de Bondir A/C CD, AGI, NA, NAJ, NAP, ADC, TT) singing style. Show & Activity Updates

Gigi had a fun time in agility at the ESSFTA Nationals -- she qualified for her first leg in Novice Agility Jumpers with Weaves with a 3rd class placement at the ESSFTA 2009 Nationals at Purina Farms in Missouri.

We travelled to Santa Rosa California for 3 days of all-breed shows August 21-23, 2009 under ESS Breeder/Judges. Gigi won the Bred by Exhibitor class all 3 days & won Reserve Winners Bitch to the majors on August 21st (Breeder/Judge Frances Jackson; Mompesson) & August 22nd, 2009 (Breeder/Judge Tarja Hovila; Adamant). Also on Sunday August 22nd Gigi won the Best Bred by Exhibitor English Springer Spaniel and then went on to win a Group 4th in the Bred By Group.

Gigi obtained her CKC Agility Novice Title (AGN) in August 2009 -- with two more qualifying scores at the Alberta Kennel Club shows on August 2nd, 2009-- both legs with second class placements. She also qualified at one of the NACA trials in June 2009. She had obtained her first Novice Standard leg on Monday August 4th, 2008 at the Alberta Kennel Club trials (handled by Anne) so ended up with a "bonus" leg. Gigi also obtained her first leg towards her AGNJ title with a first class placement in the Novice B Jumpers with Weaves class in the 20" division at the August Alberta Kennel Club 2009 trials. We are looking forward to more trials.

Gigi obtained two legs on her American RN in October of 2008 -- the first leg with a 190 score at the Dallas Fort Worth English Springer Spaniel Specialty & the second leg at the ESSFTA National Specialty Show in Arlington Texas. Gigi finished her American RN with two more qualifying scores at trials in Wisconsin in May of 2009, including a third class placement from the Novice B class at the Wisconsin Specialty.

Gigi obtained her Canadian Novice Rally title (RN) in 4 trials -- her first leg in her first (& only) trial entered at the Evelyn Kenny Kennel & Obedience Club Show July 2008. She obtained her last 2 legs in back to back qualifiers on August 23rd & 24th 2008 at the Cranbrook & District Kennel Club Show -- her last leg with a High in Class.

Gigi has been shown only occasionally at all-breed shows in the United States -- she has 5 Reserve Winner's Bitch wins to majors (from the 8 shows).

she was RWB to a 5 point major (entry of 34 bitches) from the Bred by Exhibitor class at the Monroe Kennel Club show, Monroe Michigan, October 1, 2005. These shows were held in conjunction with the IESSC Symposium; judge was British English Springer Spaniel breeder Ray Smith (Melverly).

Gigi completed her Canadian Championship on Friday November 5, 2004 at the Red Deer & District Kennel Club shows by going Winner's Bitch/Best of Opposite Sex under Dr. Alvin Krause owner/breeder handled by Lynn. Her new champion picture is shown on her picture page & (in a smaller version) below. Coincidentally Gigi finished under the same judge that her father "Baxter", A/C Ch Bondir's Braveheart, finished his American Championship under.

The Road to her Canadian Championship:

	Winner's Bitch/Best of Opposite Sex at Red Deer & District Kennel Club Show for 2 points under judge Dr. Alvin Krause.
	Gigi went 3rd in the Open Bitch class at the English Springer Spaniel Club of Canada National Specialty show under Swedish judge Dr. Goran Bodegard.
	April 2004 Winner's Bitch/Best of Breed at the Edmonton Kennel Club Show for 2 more points under judge Ainslie Mills (British Columbia)
	November 2003 Winner's Bitch at Calgary Kennel & Obedience Club Show
	April 2003 Winner's Female/Best of Breed/Group 4th at the Edmonton Kennel Club Show (Judge: Mrs. Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen, Finland) for a 5 point win towards her Canadian Championship (shown by breeder/owner Barb)
	October 2002 Reserve Winner's Bitch at the WRESSAA Specialty (from the Bred-by Exhibitor class); judge Richard Chashoudian.

Gigi has completed Puppy classes & three sets of Obedience classes (the most recent in May of 2006 where she was awarded Best Working Dog in the class). In February 2006 she obtained the first leg of her Pre-Novice Companion Dog title.
