Unfortunately, we lost Cally to a brain tumour just before Christmas on December 22, 2007. She had just been diagnosed 2 weeks before that so she went very quickly. We wrote a short tribute to Cally that tries to sum up some of her personality and her impact on our lives. It can be found under Tribute to Cally. She will always be our "Miss America" & "woo - woo dog" & will remain in our hearts and dreams. Rest well Cally.
Cally, our girl from Oregon, was born May 6, 1994 & is pictured above at the age of 10 winning (from the Veteran female class) WRESSAA's 2004 Specialty held during the Canadian National Specialty weekend, judge Jerry Watson. She is pictured below winning Best of Opposite Sex at WRESSAA's 1996 Specialty (at the age of 2) under breeder judge Larry Libeu.
Cally was a fun-loving "singing" black & white girl. She loved to show & play in agility and especially loved her home-mate Libby, Ch Bondir's et Tessera Deliberer A/C CD, AGI, SHD, NA, NAJ, NAC, NJC, TT. Although Cally developed pyometra in 1999 (after she was bred for the first time), we were able to treat her medically & were thrilled when she produced her one & only litter in January of 2001 sired by "Baxter", A/C Ch Bondir's Braveheart. We loved the two puppies so much that we kept them both -- Gigi, Ch Bondir's Gamine Georgine & Oliver, Bondir's Hardiess Connexion. When she was not out strutting in the ring, she kept herself busy competing in obedience & agility. If you met her, she would tell you all about her life! (Back)
