Introduction
Bondir's Irrepressible Gertie is now almost 4 years old. She is another black & white girl to join
our home and was born February 16, 2004 (Family Day in Alberta). In honour
of the occasion and her mother she is named after a member of our family, one of
our great-aunts. Her mother "Minnie" (Ch Bondir's Eminent Encore
A/C CD, NAJ, TT) is named after our great-grandmother. Gertie is a
friendly exuberant girl who is having great fun in conformation
shows.
Gertie & her sister "Pearl" (Bondir's Perle Noir) are the
result of surgical implantation of frozen semen. Minnie decided to come
into season during the shipping embargo for the Christmas season with
airlines. We are very thankful to her father's breeder Henriette Schmidt
(Hillcrest) for working with us through the many machinations of the collection
and the border crossing. (Back)

Show &
Activity Updates
 | Gertie
made her debut in Rally Obedience at the ESSFTA 2009 Nationals at Purina
Farms (St. Louis Missouri). She qualified in both trials from the
Novice B class with Anne handling. She had fun competing in the same
class with her Mom Minnie who also qualified at both trials. We hope
to complete her RN at a future US show & look forward to working on her
Canadian RN title. |
 | Gertie finished her Canadian Championship July 2006 at the Evelyn Kenny
Kennel & Obedience Club Shows -- she went Winners Female under Leslie
Rogers & Steve Dainard & then she went Winners Female & Best of
Breed (over top winning Specials) under Judge Sue Shrigley. She was
completely breeder/owner handled to her Championship. |
 |
Gertie places 4th in the Open Bitch class at the
Monroe Kennel Club show, Monroe Michigan, October 1, 2005. These shows
were held in conjunction with the IESSC Symposium; judge was British English
Springer Spaniel breeder Ray Smith (Melverly).
