Schedule & Topics:

This event is scheduled over two evenings to allow sufficient time for the topics to be covered and to allow participants in the WRESSAA Specialty Show & Alberta Kennel Club Shows the opportunity to attend.  The event is open to anyone interested in the English Springer Spaniel breed; either as a fancier, breeder, owner or judge.  Pre-registration is required, deadline for ticket purchase is July 15, 2007 (after this date, please e-mail to see if tickets are still available).  All proceeds from this event will go to the PRA Fund (in memory of Dr. Cindy Wheeler) at the ESSFTA Foundation.  Start time 6:00 p.m. each evening in the Montgomery Community Centre.

Health & Temperament of the English Springer Spaniel

Presentations and discussion on this evening will focus on the health and temperament issues of the breed.

We hope to have updated information on many of the research projects on health being conducted on the English Springer Spaniel breed.

Emphasis on presentations from the health panelists with input from the ESS breeder panelists.

Final time to be announced.  Will take place in the early evening hours.

Dinner will be provided for participants.

The WRESSAA Specialty Show will be held earlier in the day.

 

Saturday August 4th, 2007 

Breed Standard of the English Springer Spaniel

Audio-Visual Presentations & Discussions this evening will focus on the English Springer Spaniel Breed Standards around the world (Canadian Kennel Club, American Kennel Club & FCI)

Judging of the ESS

Form & Function of the Breed will be discussed.

Round-table discussions with audience members and panelists.

Final time to be announced.  Will take place in the early evening hours.

Dinner will be provided for participants.
